Our Work
We are a young and ambitious organization, driving a movement that unites persons with disabilities, government, the judiciary, corporations, civil society, and the public to lead lasting change.
Employment
Access to meaningful work is central to dignity and independence. Yet for decades, people with disabilities were denied opportunities in professional fields like medicine and law. Mission Accessibility has played a key role in changing that. Through landmark Supreme Court interventions, we have secured judgments affirming that qualified candidates with disabilities must be allowed to study and practice in these professions with reasonable accommodations and a barrier-free environment. These victories are not just about individual success stories they reshape entire sectors, sending a clear message that exclusion is unlawful and equality in the workplace is non-negotiable.
Education
Education is the foundation of equal opportunity, but inaccessible classrooms and exams have long kept students with disabilities on the margins. We have challenged this inequity head-on. In a historic case, the Supreme Court recognised the right of visually impaired students to independently write their exams using screen readers, dismantling the long-standing reliance on scribes and restoring autonomy. Beyond litigation, we continue to press for systemic reform so that national-level entrance tests and professional examinations are fully accessible. Our vision is that no student should ever have to compromise their aspirations because of inaccessible systems.
Access to Justice
A justice system that itself excludes persons with disabilities cannot uphold equality. That is why we work closely with courts to embed accessibility into their very functioning. Mission Accessibility has been invited to participate in the Delhi High Court’s Accessibility Committee and has contributed to the Supreme Court’s roadmap on functional and physical accessibility. Our work ensures that courts from their buildings and digital platforms to their processes and procedures are open to all, without discrimination. By strengthening access to justice, we not only protect individual rights but also reinforce the principle that disability inclusion is central to the rule of law.

Pro-bono program
Through our streamlined pro bono program, we take up 3 pro bono matters each month in Constitutional Courts and quasi-judicial bodies. The choice of these 3 cases is made based on a combined evaluation of 4 factors: nature of the case, ability of the litigant to pay legal fees, public interest involved in the matter and alignment of the case with our organizational mission. If you would like a case to be considered for this quota, please email us on missionaccessibility@gmail.com with your suggestions with the subject: “suggestion for pro bono quota.” All other cases are taken up based on our highly reasonable schedule of fees.
Accessibility
Audits
We conduct comprehensive accessibility audits of websites, mobile applications, workplaces, and public facilities to identify barriers faced by persons with disabilities. Our audits go beyond technical compliance to focus on real user experience
Workshops
We design and deliver interactive workshops that build awareness and practical skills on accessibility and inclusion. Our training sessions help corporates, educators, and service providers understand disability rights and adopt accessible practices.
